Ocean Life

Underwater life began on what day of creation? Is evolution part of the existence of life under the sea?

I created the background in airbrush and scanned in the image to photoshop and began my creation. The creation began with an airbrush, evolved to a few plants and rock formations. Eventually added underwater life. Would an ocean be an ocean without life? Sure it would, but what purpose would it serve if not the Porcupine, the Stingray, and the Unknown species yet to be discovered occupy the oceans.
